Swimming Lessons

My cousin, Angie and me, decided to sign the little ones up for swimming lessons at the Apple Athletic. The lessons were a mommy and me class and lasted for 8 weeks. We just finished up last week and it was perfect timing because I'm hoping the weather is going to start getting a little nicer so we can start playing more outside. Anyways, Grayson learned how to blow bubbles, jump in the pool, how to lay on his back and belly and kick his legs, and how to use the handrail at the pool. The worst part for Gray was the day the instructor brought out the life jackets. Grayson completely refused to put on on, he screamed and threw an absolute tantrum. (We'll have to get it figured out before Grandpa gets the boat out.) We had a lot of fun spending time with Angie and Kizer (Kizer absolutely LOVED everything about swimming lessons, won't be surpised if he joins the Olympic swimming team someday.) Thanks to everyone who came and watched Gray do his "tricks" at swimming lessons.

Fun! I think it's such a good idea to get started early with the swimming lessons. At our house, taking lessons each summer is not a choice but a "have to." Our kids love it, which is good, and it makes me feel better about them being in the water! What cute pictures of Gray!
