Summer's Finally Here

Today my sister and I decided to get Grayson's pool out for him. It was a really nice day and we had a lot of fun hanging out outside. Grayson didn't know quite what to think about the cold water so we just filled the pool up a little bit. He had just as much fun outside the pool walking around it as he did inside. What a silly boy~

My First Haircut

BEFORE (very unhappy)
AFTER (much better)

Grayson got his first haircut after he turned 1 year old. We used the buzzer on him and he didn't like it all because he wanted to hold it. Anyways, after it was over and he had a bath, he looked pretty darn sweet! Hopefully it won't grow too fast so we won't have to do it again for awhile.

Life's "Moments"

I was reading my friends blog where she wrote down some important moments in her life that really stand out to her and I thought....."cool idea" so, here's me writing down some of mine.

1.) My mom and I watching "Perfect Strangers"--remember that show? It was the episode where they tried moving the piano up the stairs and just couldn't quite make it. We laughed so...hard, tears came from our eyes.
2.)Jr. High sleepovers...they all come as a bundled moment. We were always loud and laughed a lot, we got yelled at by a lot of parents to be quiet. Sometimes in the middle of the night we'd hear parents get up to tell us to be quiet, of course we'd all act like we were asleep. I also remember, whoever would fall asleep first would get "the mix" Luckily, I didn't fall asleep first very often, poor Kim.
3.)I was around 12, it was Christmas Eve. The tradition on Christmas Eve is that my little sisters slept with me and then on the morning of Christmas we'd all walk up the stairs and see what Santa had left us. My sisters were around 6 and 3 so of course they still believed in Santa. I remember they were so....excited they could hardley sleep. I kept playing tricks on them like..."I think I hear Santa and his reindeer on the roof". I'll always remember their little faces, so wide-eyed and happy.
4.)My dad made me be on the golf team in high school, I hated it. Luckily, none of the girls on the team took it too seriously. We were at a tournament in Pocatello, it started raining hard, the guys were bundling up, etc. However, us girls, we forfeited, went inside the clubhouse and had hot chocolate and doughnuts. The look on our coaches face when we all trampled in---priceless.
5.)The night of Brad and I's first kiss. It was along time ago but I remember it clearly. It was about midnight, we were in front of Mark and Jeff's apartment. Brad had walked me out to my car, the snow was coming down and the moment....well, it was perfect!
6.)Walking down the aisle with my dad on the day of my wedding. I remember being extremely nervous and there was a part of me that didn't want to let go of my dad's arm. Then, I saw Brad's smiling face and the nervousness was gone. It was the most calming feeling I've ever had in my life.
7.)The day I found out I was pregnant. Brad and I tried for almost 2 years to have a baby. I don't know how many pregnancy tests I'd taken over the two years, too many. One day, I just had a feeling. I went to Shopko to buy a candle and I decided to buy a pregnancy test. I was planning on running lots of errands and I hated the suspense so I took the test in the bathroom stall in Shopko. After 2 minutes I looked at the test and something was different than usual. Instead of 1 line I thought there may be a faint second line. I immediately called my mom and ran over to Hastings where she was at to show her. She looked and was a little in disbelief too. We went to Wendy's, drank a huge coke and tested again, another faint positive----I couldn't believe this was happening. To this day, it is one of the best days of my life and I'll remember it forever.
8.)May 31, 07, the day our miricle was born. I'd been in labor for 24 hours, after that didn't work my doctor decided I needed a C-Section. The pain medication was not working and I was feeling a lot of pain, Brad was right there by my side. They had given me so many drugs that my eyes could not focus so I wasn't able to see Grayson right away but I remember hearing his little cry and I just began sobbing. It was such a struggle getting him here that I just couldn't believe the day had come.

There's so many more moments that I would love to write about but...I should probably get to work. However, it was nice reliving some of these moments in my mind. To all my friends and family, thanks for the memories.

Grayson's 1st Birthday
