Christmas '09

I can't believe Christmas has already come and gone. We had a wonderful holiday. We spent Christmas Eve at Brad's parents house---Santa even made an appearance. Grayson didn't quite know what to think and decided to sit on my lap and just look at Santa at a distance. After Santa gave him his present though he had a change of heart and gave him a quick hug. We left Brad's parents house and headed to my parent's house. We spent some time there visiting with family before driving home. On Christmas Day we had both my family and Brad's family come over and open presents and have breakfast. It was fun to have everyone over and for them to see Grayson open presents and get WAY to spoiled. The rest of the day we spent with Brad's family enjoying the day and taking it easy.
I've already taken down my tree and am looking forward to New Year's---I love the "fresh start".

Birthday Bash....

My hubby turned 32 on November 12th. It was a Thursday but I knew I needed to try and pull off a small party. I called some of our friends and we planned a little thing. Brad tells me he didn't know about it but....I think he did. We had a fun time anyways. I didn't get very many pictures---left out lots of people (sorry) but thank you for everyone who came.
Brad---your the best, hope you had a fabuluous day!

Halloween 09

I've been slacking a lot on my blog but finally decided that I needed to post some Halloween pics. We had a great Halloween (the whole week actually). We went to my mom's school carnival, the pumpkin patch, carved our "scary" pumpkin, and went trick-or-treating. Grayson was a monkey. I decided it might be the last year that he will actually let me choose what he was going to be so I decided on something cute. I'm sure by next year he'll want to be a superhero or something like that. Anyways, we had a great October, can't believe it's already come and gone.

Loving Fall

Today we went to the pumpkin patch, it was so...much fun and we lucked out and got fabulous weather. Grayson had a great time and we had to literally drag him away and bribe him with gum to get him in the car. We ended up walking away with two pumpkins and lots of fun memories.

GOING PRIVATE

I'm going private. If you want access to the blog send me your e-mail address and I'll add you to the list. I didn't want to make it private but there's too many crazy people these days......

School Days

Summer is over, ok not OFFICIALLY over but once school starts it's pretty much the end, how sad. Grayson started pre-school this year. He goes a couple hours three times a week. So far he hasn't minded it too bad. He cries when I first drop him off but when I pick him up he's had a fun time. He does art projects, sings songs, and is working on the numbers 1, 2, 3 and letters A, B, C. I got some pictures from the first day of school, he's so sweet....

My Big Boy

I can admit this now that Gray's finally sleeping in his own bed but...up until now he was in our bed. After we moved into the new house we bought Gray his own big boy bed and he hasn't done too bad. The first night was the worst but since then he's done fabulous. However, he still usually sneaks into our bed during the early morning. I don't mind too much though, it gives me time to snuggle my baby before it's time to get ready for work. Anyways, he's even given up his plug this week. We've told him that we had to give it to a baby that didn't have any plugs. He still whines a little and just says, "Baby". We thought it was time though because he's two and on Wednesday he starts pre-school (well, pre pre-school I guess). I just can't believe how big my babys got. He's such a sweetie, I love him more than anything in this world.

Fast asleep in his "Big Boy" Bed

I know I promised house pics and since I haven't done that yet I'll at least show a picture of Gray's wall I just finished. Brad hung the vinyl which he hated but he did a great job.

Charity Golf Tournament

This past weekend my work had it's 5th Annual Golf Tournament Fundraiser. It went really well and we earned a lot of money. I am so blessed to have such a great group of friends and family that came out to support me and the cause. I love you all!!!

The Campout

Since we haven't went camping all summer we decided to have a "pretend" campout in my parents backyard. We roasted hot dogs over the fire, had smores, and of course slept in the tent on the HARD ground. Grayson had a great time and thought the tent was pretty cool. Brad and I however, have decided we are old and will never again sleep in a tent without some sort of mattress underneath us.

A Busy Weekend

We had a GREAT weekend!!! Friday was my day off so Grayson and I went to Chloe's birthday at Rigby Lake. The weather was sort of crappy but it didn't stop us from having fun, Grayson loved throwing the mud and rocks in the water and eventually even got in the lake. The next day Brad had to work and Grayson and I went to the zoo. He had a fabulous time but for some reason wouldn't smile in ANY of my pictures so you'd never know he had such a good time. Afterwards, we met Brad for lunch at Arctic Circle where he got to play even more. Luckily we tuckered him out and he came home and took a much needed nap. The next day Brad and I pressed our luck at the horse races, Brad won $20 but unfortunately it costs us $60 to get it, oh...well, we had such a great time we're headed back this weekend. Then on Sunday my parents invited us up to float the canal. Brad wasn't going to get in the raft but at the last minute he changed his mind (I think he was nervous about me taking Grayson by myself). It's a good thing he came though, the canal was so...fast I probably would have had a hard time stopping by myself. Plus there was a ferocious dog that almost jumped in after us about half way through the ride. All worked out well though and we had lots of fun.

FANTABULOUS FOURTH!

Some random pics from our Fourth of July weekend, I can't believe it's already over and back to work tomorrow:( My work gave us the day off on July 2nd so our holiday actually started quite early. On Thusday, Gray and I went to see the flags off of Broadway, it was cool to see so many of them, Grayson loved it. Then, Kim and I tried to take the kiddies to the Splash Park in Rexburg but opps...someone peed in the pool so they closed it down. We had to think fast, we ended up in Rigby at my mom's house playing on the slip'n slide---we still had lots of fun. Friday we played at my mom's house and Brad went golfing. Later that night, we went to a BBQ at Brad's aunts house, Grayson played with the dozens of cousins. Even later that night, we gathered lots of friends/family and Brad's friends entertained us with their guitars and amazing voices. It was an awesome night---I think we'll make it our annual tradition, while they were singing the Rigby firework display could be seen from my parents patio---so fun. The next day, we were all tired. Brad and my dad played in the Annual Flag tournament---Brad didn't do so hot----I wish I could say he still had fun but....he says he didn't. Then we went boating and to another BBQ. We were so tired after all the fun we'd had that we didn't even stay for the BIG fireworks. However, as we were driving home I could see them out my window, I turned on KLCE and enjoyed what I could. Overall, it was a wonderful break from work and a lot of fun to be with friends and family. I LOVE THIS COUNTRY AND ALL THOSE WHO FIGHT TO PROTECT OUR FREEDOM~

We're Movin' Out

Not too far though....actually only about a 5 minute bike ride away from where we live right now. We finally sold the townhouse. I have to admit it wasn't too terrible but now that Grayson's getting older he needs a yard with a swing set, etc. We found a nice house that we think will be perfect for our family (I like it more than Brad but hopefully it will grow on him after we put our touches on it). Anyways, I'll post photos after we're in, only 2 weeks away!

Reminicing---Grayson's 1st Year

As most of you know, Grayson just celebrated his 2nd Birthday on May 31st. I just finished making his second year video but...I can't post it for a few more days because I'm making my mom wait to watch it in the theatre room after it arrives. If she knows it's on my BLOG she'd probably watch it without me. Anyways, so I decided to put on the first year video, remembering how small he used to be. Next week I'll post the new video.

Brad, Gray, and myself FINALLY made it to Oregon to visit Brad's sister and her family. We were so excited to get to go because Ashley is graduating and we had never had a chance to go there since they moved there a few years ago. It was Grayson's first time on an airplane and he did great! We had so much fun and can't wait to go back. There's so much to see there and it's absolutely beautiful. Thanks Danny, DeAnne, Ashley, and Brittney for having us!

What happens in Vegas....stays in Vegas

The family (missing Tay and G) at Fremont Street

Brad and I just got back from a much needed weekend getaway to Las Vegas. We went with my mom and dad, Hilary, Amie and Tom. We had a really fun time and the weather was wonderful. It was so nice to lay at the pool, stay out late and then be able to sleep in in the morning. Unfortunately, we didn't do too hot gambling but...chalk it up to entertainment right? We did go to a Cirqe De Solei Show, KA, (don't know how to spell that)at MGM----it was really cool, those people are amazing. Anyways, we had a fabulous time but by the time we had been there 3 nights, Brad and I were both anxious to get home and see our little G Baby. Thanks to my wonderful mother and father-in-law for taking such good care of him. Even though we missed him, we knew he was in good hands. Also, thanks to Tay for helping with him on Monday---your awesome. We are so lucky to have such WONDERFUL families.
